Carnival Cinemas launches two-screen property in Mandsaur, MP

MUMBAI: Carnival Group’s cinema chain Carnival Cinemas has launched a two-screen property in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, on 10 February, in association with Tirupati Plaza.

The property can accommodate 310 people and is equipped with world-class 2K Digital Projection Technology, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, high luminosity 3D screens, lavish interiors, luxurious seating arrangements, a wide array of F&B and other services at affordable prices. Carnival Cinemas Mandsaur was inaugurated by Bollywood starlet Sana Khan.

Carnival Cinemas director & CEO PV Sunil said, “With Carnival opening at Mandsaur with ‘Jolly LLB 2’, we are very happy to dedicate it to the citizens of the city. The region is expanding multi-fold so do the entertainment options. Now the residents of Mandsaur don’t need to travel long hours to get a premium movie watching experience. Our aim is to provide state-of-the-art technology and services to our patrons at a reasonable price. We are planning to open 150 screens in the state by 2017. In line with our international and national expansion plans, we have some serious growth plans for Madhya Pradesh as well.”

In sync with the company’s current growth plans, Carnival Cinemas has signed memorandums of understanding with the governments of Jharkhand and Odisha for setting up 75 theatres-cum-recreation zones and 150 screens in the respective states. It will enable the group’s vision of holding 1,000 screens globally by 2017.

Carnival Cinemas is spread across 90 cities with 330 operational screens at 120 locations. In India, the cinemas are present in prominent states like Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Gujarat, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Bihar and Pondicherry.

The group also forayed into the overseas market with the launch of operations in Singapore.
