Havas Media India appoints Nitin Karkara as head of digital

MUMBAI: Havas Media India has appointed Nitin Karkara as head of digital business.
Karkara’s mandate is to promote and drive growth for the 360-degree digital offering of Havas Media India for existing and new clients.

Speaking about the new addition to the team, Havas Media India and South Asia CEO Anita Nayyar says, “Nitin is an accomplished and seasoned professional. A graduate of the University of British Columbia, Canada, Karkara brings to the agency 16+ years of experience in business development, brand strategy, product marketing, mobile and e-commerce. He was previously GM and head of digital (HHP) at Cheil Worldwide. He also worked as the digital marketing lead for India and South West Asia at The Coca-Cola Company. He started his career with Samsung and since then has been associated with companies like Sapient India, Microsoft in Wunderman, IBM, ITC Hotels, Manipal Education and Vodafone in OgilvyOne, Fritolays, GSK, Readers Digest and Tetrapak in ISHIR Digital.
