Disney India does 50 brand tie-ups for ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’
MUMBAI: In what it claims is the highest brand association for any Hollywood film in India, Disney India has said that its consumer products business has collaborated with as many as 50 brands for the upcoming movie ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’.
Disney Consumer Products India VP and head Abhishek Maheshwari said that the second-highest brand association for a Hollywood film is ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’, which had made 38 brand associations in 2014. “Some of the brands on board ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ include Amazon, Myntra, Funskool, Liberty, Hero Cycles, Pantaloons, Tupperware, Kinder Joy, Hamleys and Landmark,” he added.
Brand Associations For ‘Avengers Age Of Ultron’:
Amazon.in: Disney India has created a special ‘Amazon.in Avengers Store’ around the release of the movie. The store will be one-stop-shop for all products inspired by the Avengers superheroes.
Myntra.com: Disney India has tied up with the e-commerce platform Myntra.com for a range of Avenger’s branded adult fashion range.
Liberty: A special footwear range with Liberty (for kids 4–14 years) has been launched. The footwear brand has introduced over 50 styles featuring the Marvel Avengers.
Kinder Joy: Disney India has introduced a range of surprise toys for kids product Kinder Joy.
Mountain Dew: Avengers-branded packs have been launched in the market to create buzz around the movie. Amazon.in will also e-tail special Mountain Dew combo packs of Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor.
Subway: Disney India has tied up with Subway for two limited period food items titled ‘The Earth’s mightiest Subs’.
Hamleys: The company has partnered Hamleys across six cities (Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad).
‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ releases on 24 April 2015, a week prior to the US release date. To make the release widespread in the country, the studio will release it in double the screens compared to ‘The Avengers’ in 2012. The latest film will be released in 1,500+ screens in Imax 3D and 3D. Fans will be able to enjoy the movie in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

‘Avengers – Age of Ultron’ is the 11th movie in the Avengers franchise. The previous titles include three ‘Iron Man’ movies, ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, ’The Avengers’, and two ‘Thor’ movies.
