Colors associates with Hong Kong Tourism for ‘Sasural Simar Ka’
MUMBAI: Commencing its 1,000th-episode celebrations, Colors’ popular fiction show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ has associated with the Hong Kong Tourism Board for a special shoot and a viewer engagement initiative.
Beginning today, the new journey of the show will be presented in Hong Kong, showcasing the twist in the lives of the lead protagonist Simar and her estranged husband Prem.
Colors has also introduced a contest for viewer engagement, which will ask viewers questions during the 1,000th-episode celebratory week starting today. The winner will get an all-expense-paid trip to Hong Kong, courtesy of the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
Colors weekday programming head Prashant Bhatt said, “The response that ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ has received consistently over the past three years from viewers across the globe has been gratifying. We have focused our efforts on identifying the pulse of the audience who have showcased their support through the spectacular ratings that ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ has garnered. The show started off as the journey of two endearing sisters and has today become an iconic property that forms the learning ground for family values.”

Since its launch three years ago, the show has been telecast in seven countries internationally including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Bulgaria and Russia, and is also among the top performing properties in Southern languages.
As per data provided by the channel, ‘Sasural Simar Ka’ has raked in an average of 4.6 TVTs with 86 weeks as the leader in the 7.30 pm time slot.
