Maradona shows the middle finger to Argentina FA president

MUMBAI: Argentina may have beaten Iran 1-0 in a group encounter during the soccer World Cup but a war of words has broken out between former great Diego Maradona and Argentinian Football Association president Julio Grondona.

Grondona had suggested in an interview to reporters that Argentina scored a goal late in the match against Iran because Maradona had left the stadium by then.

Retaliating for that remark Maradona said, “Jinx this,” and held up his middle finger for Venezuela’s Telesur channel. He works as a commentator for them.

Maradona also said, “”Poor, stupid man. This is Messi’s merit, Not because I left”.
