Dish TV launches ad-free devotional service for Ramzaan; Urdu pack for Rs 135

MUMBAI: Direct-to-home (DTH) operator Dish TV has partnered Shemaroo to bring a 24×7 Islamic devotional active service called ‘Mecca Madina Active’ during the month of Ramzaan.

The ad-free active service will be available free of cost for all Dish TV and Zing subscribers until 12 June. Following the free preview, it will be available at a monthly subscription fee of Rs 30. This service is available on channel no. 790.

Though Mecca Madina Active is available as an a la carte service, Dish TV has also launched a Ramzaan pack for its subscribers and especially Muslim audience.

Dish TV aims to cater the needs of the viewers by offering the new active service as well as a range of Islamic and Urdu channels including ETV Urdu and Zee Salaam at Rs 135 per month.

The Urdu pack is introduced to provide Dish TV subscribers a devout experience of the religious observances during Ramzaan.

The Ramzaan pack is a limited-period offer and available from 31 May to 7 July (until Ramzaan). The pack is accessible to the active subscribers across cities, semi-urban and rural areas (North & South) of India. All Dish TV subscribers can upgrade and downgrade to this pack.

Arun-Kapoor 1Dish TV has also introduced a recharge offer of Rs 786, wherein the subscribers on recharging Dish TV subscription by unique amount of Rs 786 would get Rs 78.6 cash back on their Dish TV account and a 15% discount from AskmeBazaar.com.
