DD to conduct 20th e-auction on 11 Feb for vacant slots on Freedish
MUMBAI: Doordarshan will conduct the 20th e-auction to fill up vacant slots on its free direct-to-home (DTH) service DD Freedish on 11 February, 2015.
The reserve price is set at Rs 3.70 crore (Rs 37 million) per slot. The participation amount is Rs 1.50 crore (Rs 15 million), along with a processing fee of Rs 10,000 (non-refundable). The last date for submission of application is 11 February.
The e-auction will be conducted by Pune-based Synise Technologies on behalf of Prasar Bharati.
Applicants are also required to deposit a demand draft of Rs 5,500. Registration amount favouring Synise Technologies is to be issued at the time of submission of the application.
The applicants must provide their email address, contact numbers and uplink/downlink permission documents received from the ministries concerned. The demand drafts of unsuccessful bidders will be returned immediately or within a week after the e-auction process is completed.
The successful channels are required to deposit Rs 1.10 crore (Rs 11 million) of reserve price after one month from the placement of channel on Freedish.
The remaining amount of reserve price Rs 1.1 crore (Rs 11 million) is to be deposited by the successful channel after two months from the placement of channel along with service tax @ 12.36 per cent on total bid amount.
The balance bid amount should be deposited on or before 12 June 2015 after six months from the placement of the channel failing which the reserve price Rs 3.70 crore (Rs 37 million) will be forfeited and the channel will be removed from Freedish.
