Videocon d2h narrows Q4 net loss to Rs 21.2 crore from Rs 75.7 crore in the prior-year quarter. Content cost falls to 37.5% of revenue. Total net subscriber base stands at 11.86 million.

Airtel Digital TV has achieved two milestones. The company has turned EBIT positive on full-fiscal basis and its net subscriber addition in Q4 of FY16 has been the highest in the last 20 quarters.

Airtel Digital TV adds 530,000 net subscribers, its highest in the last 18 quarters. ARPU sees modest increase to Rs 229 due to higher HD penetration and upselling of packs. EBITDA grows 45% YoY and 5.59% QoQ.

Videocon d2h has narrowed its net loss in Q3 to Rs 22 cr, a 72.4% improvement over the earlier year. Adjusted EBITDA grew 42.2% to Rs 201 cr. ARPU grew 8.2% YoY to Rs 211.

Dish TV has seen strong subscriber growth in Q2 while content cost has dropped and there has been an expansion in operating margins.

Dish TV has reported its highest ever first-quarter subscriber additions over the last three years and is well on its target of achieving 1.5–1.7 mn net additions during the fiscal. ARPU is expected to grow 6% in FY16, mainly driven by a price increase before the festive season.

After a decade of operations, Dish TV has turned profitable at the net level for the fiscal. It has 12.9 mn net subscribers. Carriage rev is Rs 81 crore in FY15. Content cost grew 2.87%.

EBITDA is at Rs 675.2 crore compared to Rs 334.7 crore a year ago. ARPU is at Rs 214 while net subscriber base stands at 10.07 mn.
