Siti Networks re-designates Rajesh Sethi as chief business transformation officer
MUMBAI: Essel Group-owned MSO Siti Networks has re-designated Rajesh Sethi as a chief business transformation officer (CBTO) of the company with immediate effect.
In June, Sethi had replaced VD Wadhwa as the new head of Siti Networks and had been designated as the executive director and CEO of the company. Incidentally, on 27 May, Siti had approved the re-appointment of Wadhwa as executive director of the company for a period of three years from 12 August.
In the board meeting held on 14 July, Siti also approved the appointment of Sidharth Balakrishna as whole-time director of the company with the immediate effect. The appointment was approved upon the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee of the board.
Balakrishna has worked as a strategy consultant with KPMG and Accenture, advised many MNC and Indian firms in the energy, renewables, steel, retail and telecom sectors. These included strategic advice in the field of expansion, diversification, product and store launches, new market entries, M&A, etc.
Sethi has over 22 years of experience in varied industries like media, insurance and automotive across India and Southeast Asia. He joined Ten Sports (Taj Television, then a subsidiary of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd) in July 2013 as CEO, where he spearheaded the turnaround and divestment of Ten Sports from multi-year losses to a profitable entity.
Sethi, wearing another hat, has also placed ZEEL’s distribution and placement business on a consistent growth path. Before joining ZEEL, he was associated with large conglomerates like Tata, General Electric and Allianz. He has a proven track record of progressive leadership and entrepreneurial success, specialising in enhancing stakeholder value through large-scale business transformation, leadership development, innovation, organisation change management and customer strategies.
Sethi has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and received his executive education from Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management and INSEAD. He is also a GE-certified Quality Green Belt.
