The Punjab govt has slapped a Rs 684-cr tax evasion notice on Fastway Transmission for allegedly evading taxes by under-declaring subscriber numbers. The allegation is that the MSO has been evading ET, sales tax, road digging charges and charges for using electricity poles in the 10-year reign of the Akali Dal govt. Fastway has denied such charges.

GTPL Hathway IPO oversubscribed 1.5 times on final day

The IPO of GTPL Hathway was fully subscribed on the final day of the issue on Friday. The issue was oversubscribed 1.52 times, data from stock exchanges showed. It received bids for 30.86 mn shares against the total issue size of 20.21 million shares, excluding the anchor investors’ portion.
