DEN Networks’ drive to increase cable TV ARPU


DEN feels there is headroom for cable TV ARPU to increase from all the areas of DAS. For Phase IV, the MSO expects ARPU to touch Rs 75 ten months after the implementation of DAS.

MIB has claimed that 66.79% or 6.44 cr STBs have been seeded in Phase III and IV areas of DAS excluding TN. Maharashtra has seen the highest STB seeding at 7.2 mn out of 10.1 mn TV homes. The total seeding percentage in the state stood at 71.18%.

iCAS has been deployed by 80 MSOs


After the rollout of iCAS, about 1 cr STBs had been installed by MSOs, out of which about 3 lakh STBs were with iCAS, giving a market share of about 3%.
